British Airways has responded to demand by opening a new route from April 08, from the UK to Antalya in Turkey. “Antalya, in south-west Turkey, is becoming an increasingly popular leisure destination”, said Robert Boyle, BA’s commercial director.
Turkish news portal “Today’s Zaman” believes this will drive the region’s second-home market. Also new for 2008, Easyjet have finally announced plans for several new routes from Manchester Airport. This will be the first time the airline has had aircraft based at the North West’s largest airport. The new routes will see flights to Tenerife, Cyprus, Crete, Innsbruck and Malta from April 08 and flights to Malaga from May 08. |
